Jada Pinkett Smith's somewhat popular TV show Hawthorne has been cancelled due to flailing audience.

The TV network released a statement on Friday confirming the news but they failed to give a reason as to why they cancelled the show. "TNT has decided not to order a fourth season of Hawthorne," the statement read.

"TNT truly appreciates the tremendous dedication of everyone involved in Hawthorne. The series gave TNT the opportunity to work with many outstanding people, including Jada Pinkett Smith and the rest of the show's talented cast, crew, producer's and writers. We wish everyone involved with Hawthorne nothing but the best."

The news comes just a week after the show was hit by scandal when it was alleged that lead star Jada was having an affair with her co-star Marc Anthony. Both denied the affair, with Marc telling ABC's Nightline: "When something like that happens, it's laughable."

Fans of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith were buzzing today following In Touch Weekly’s new report that superstar married duo have decided to separate after 13 years of marriage.


Perhaps the tabloid was trying to break off the virtually nonstop Kim Kardashian coverage following her nuptials Saturday to NBA baller Kris Humphries, but In Touch offered nothing more to go on outside of an “insider” telling them that the Smiths are calling it quits.

TMZ.com called up Jada’s spokesperson Karynne Tencer and got this response: “What? In Touch said that? I know nothing about this ... Lord. I’m going back to bed.”

No official statement has come out of the Smiths camp as of 2:30 p.m today.

Radaronline.com is reporting that a family member says news of a split is not true. “They’re happy and married still,” the unidentified family member said.

The Smiths have two children together, “The Karate Kid” star Jaden, 13, and “Whip My Hair” singer Willow, 10.

Somebody’s always gonna catch your eye. That’s real. Somebody’s gonna always be prettier than me, somebody’s always gonna be more in awe of him than me.”

Marriages are falling a part left and right in Hollywood but don’t draw a parallel between J.Lo‘s failed marriage and Will and Jada Pinkett Smith. New reports surfaced Aug. 23 that Will and Jada were separating after 13 years of marriage and shortly after, rumors began circulating that it was a result of an affair between Jada and Marc Anthony.

“All the rumors regarding Marc Anthony and Jada are false. Completely untrue,” Jada’s rep tells People. “As for [the reports of a split between] Will and Jada, I’m not commenting on their personal life.”

Will’s son Trey Smith, from a previous marriage, took to his Twitter to defend Will and Jada: “Did #WillandJada split? No they did NOT split! False information … its not true RETWEET!!! Everyone can think what they want … even if its not true.”

Marc’s rep reiterated Jada’s camp’s sentiments: “We unequivocally deny this. Enough is enough. There are families involved, children involved, friendships involved. This is NOT true.”

Jada has previously said that she doesn’t believe in divorce — together they have two children, Jaden, 13, and Willow, 10.
